Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the lawful and intended use of Fortress Freedom Phone Ltd's products and services. By placing an order, accepting delivery, or using a managed line, the customer agrees to this policy.
1. Intended use
Fortress Freedom Phone Ltd supplies hardened mobile devices and managed UK voice lines to support legitimate confidentiality needs, including:
- Business confidentiality — commercial sensitivity, M&A, IP-heavy work, executive communications.
- Legal privilege — solicitors, barristers, in-house counsel handling privileged matters.
- Journalistic source protection.
- Personal safety — protection from stalkers, harassers, or hostile non-state actors.
- Individual privacy — customers who prefer not to participate in consumer-carrier telemetry collection.
2. Prohibited use
The following uses are strictly prohibited. We will refuse to sell, suspend service, or terminate accounts where any of the following are reasonably suspected:
- Use intended to evade lawful investigation by UK authorities or by the authorities of any other jurisdiction with which the United Kingdom has lawful cooperation.
- Any criminal activity, including fraud, money laundering, drug-related offences, theft, terrorism, child sexual exploitation, modern slavery, or any other offence under UK law.
- Harassment, stalking, doxxing, threats, intimidation, or coercion of any individual.
- Operation of unsolicited commercial communications (spam), robocalling, voice phishing (vishing), SMS phishing (smishing), or call-pumping fraud.
- Number-spoofing, calling-line-identification fraud, or impersonation of any individual or organisation.
- Any use that breaches Ofcom's General Conditions of Entitlement or any obligation imposed on Fortress as a UK communications operator.
- Resale, sublicensing, or transfer of the managed line or device configuration to any third party without our written consent.
- Reverse-engineering, tampering with, or attempting to circumvent the security configuration of supplied devices for any purpose other than the customer's own legitimate use.
3. Customer screening
We screen all enquiries before sale. We will decline orders where the stated or apparent purpose falls outside Section 1, or where any of the conduct in Section 2 is reasonably suspected. Declination is at our sole discretion and we are not obliged to provide reasons.
4. Termination & suspension
We may suspend or terminate any service immediately, with or without notice, where:
- The customer breaches, or is reasonably suspected of breaching, this AUP;
- We receive a valid legal order requiring suspension or termination;
- Continued provision of the service would expose Fortress, our wholesale partners, or third parties to a credible legal, regulatory, or safety risk;
- Payment is overdue beyond the grace period set out in our terms.
On termination for breach of this AUP, no refund of subscription fees is due. The handset, if purchased outright, remains the property of the customer subject to applicable law and any law-enforcement direction.
5. Cooperation with lawful authorities
Fortress Freedom Phone Ltd is a UK-registered limited company and complies with valid legal process in the United Kingdom, including but not limited to court orders, production orders, preservation requests, and obligations under the Investigatory Powers Act 2016 and the Data Protection Act 2018. We will produce information lawfully required of us, limited by what we hold under our data-minimisation practices.
6. Reporting abuse
If you believe a Fortress number or service is being used in breach of this AUP — for example to harass you, defraud you, or threaten you — please contact us immediately by email or Telegram. We treat abuse reports as urgent and will investigate promptly.
